Your Tanning Bar is a judgment free zone. Your comfort is our priority during your appointment- we leave the decision up to you on what you wear while being sprayed, some clients go nude, while others opt for a bathing suit or bra + underwear, whatever makes you feel your best.
Men we require to be covered with underwear, boxers, or shorts.

Custom coloring is based on your skin tone. This is one of the biggest differences between a machine spray booth versus a custom airbrush tan by a certified technician. Orange isn’t an option here. To provide you with the most natural tan our technicians will customize coloring to your skin tone. Go as light or dark as you please, your technician will always be there to help you decide coloring based on what you are spraying for (event/vacation/wedding), and your skin tone.

Prepping for your tan is essential to ensure your tan develops color properly + evenly. Exfoliating prior is essential on how your tan takes to your skin. Remove all dead skin cells, old spray tan/self tanner prior to your appointment.
At least 12 hours before your appointment, shave and exfoliate your whole body, we recommend using an exfoliating mitt + a paraben free, water based exfoliator.
Complete any hair removal or nail service 24 hours prior to your appointment ideally.
Come into your appointment with your skin completely free of lotions, oils, makeup, and deodorant. Wipes are available for makeup/deodorant.

A great tan comes from great after care. After your appointment you can expect to need to stay dry for 2-8 hours based on what solution you choose, during that time period your tan is developing so we want the bronzer to lay undisturbed.
Paraben free products are crucial to the care of your spray. Both your body wash + moisturizer should be paraben free + free of mineral oil & Petroleum, to provide the tan with the hydration it needs to give full and even coverage throughout its life.
We carry multiple luxe body care lines at our salons to extend your tan, ask your technician for product recommendations based on your skin type.
-
We recommend doing a trial spray at least 2 weeks before the event, that way we can make any adjustments to coloring needed for the big day.
If you are opting to not do a trial spray tan we recommend coming 2 to 3 days before the event.

Yes. We are a business founded on the practice of safe sun and tanning the only healthy way, sunless. SPF 30 or higher should be used and reapplied every 2 hours to protect your skin during your outdoor activities. We carry both facial + body spf in the salon that will nourish, protect + extend your tan.

Did you exfoliate prior? Are you using products with mineral oil, petroleum, or bar soap? Also pat dry your skin after showering, avoid hot showers, and make sure your skin stays hydrated with our 100% All Natural Shea Butter. As certified technicians, we want you to get long lasting results. Just by drinking more water, you will notice your tan lasting longer. Stay away from products containing mineral oil and petroleum (these are cheap fillers companies put into their products, they dry your skin out and they also break the tan down). Look for paraben free on any product applied to your skin!
-
This is very common that your face fades the quickest. Our natural oils plus washing our face everyday will cause the tan to come off the face quicker, along with hands, as we wash our hands frequently. Try our touch up Tahitian Tan Mist for your face and hands!
-
Typically this is a sure sign of mineral oil, petroleum, using loofahs, or not keeping your skin hydrated enough. The best way to achieve an even fade is drinking enough water and hydrating your skin, lotion everyday, not to mention a good lotion (remember Parabeen Free – mineral oil, or petroleum.) Our certified technicians are always here to help in any way!
-
Pools and hot tubs will remove the tan quicker. Harsh chemicals such as bleach and chlorine will dry your skin out, removing that tan faster than usual. If you know you will be in chlorine/bleach/salt water we recommend our Anti Aging Spray Tan + CBD. If you are frequently in the pool or hot tub we also recommend our Tan Extending Lotion. Our Tan Extender will help keep your tan up to 2 weeks.
Does the ocean remove my tan? Although salt water is drying to your skin, it wont fade your tan completely, we recommend quick dips and moisturizing well.
-
Your tan will fade naturally as any normal tan would as long as you are keeping hydrated. Everyone’s skin sheds at different rates. Exfoliate prior and moisturize daily to achieve your glow up to 2 weeks.
-
Yes, although we use an Eco Certified organic formula there are certain things you can be allergic to. For those with sensitive skin, we recommend trying the spray on a small patch of skin before coming in.

A spray tan contains a higher dosage of DHA, providing a longer lasting tan, more even, and consistent results. We use all natural ingredients that are healthy for your skin. Many self tanners don’t use Eco Certified DHA, and consist of mostly chemicals. All technicians are certified at Your Tanning Bar and can help give you the best tan in town!
